The Rams loanee, on Leicester City’s books, suffered a season-ending injury against Nottingham Forest.

It’s not turning out to be a very good week for Derby County, whose Monday night Championship trip to bitter rivals Nottingham Forest ended in a painful 1-0 loss.
The Rams had not lost to the Reds in the league since 2015 prior to kickoff but Yohan Benalouane’s early goal, which came about after the visitors failed to clear a Joe Lolley inswinger, proved the difference between the two sides.
Martyn Waghorn spurned a superb opportunity for Frank Lampard’s side, finding himself with just Costel Pantilimon to beat but sending his chip curling wide of the goal, and apart from that, the Rams failed to truly threaten the hosts.
Ahead of Saturday’s league meeting with Aston Villa, the Derby boss had to deliver yet more bad news in the shape of January loan signing Andy King will miss the rest of the season after he injured his ankle in the East Midlands derby.
The 30-year-old, who will head back to parent club Leicester City, will see a surgeon to determine whether he will need surgery on the problem he picked up in the game at the City Ground and forced him to be substituted early in the second half.
After the news was announced by Lampard, and subsequently posted on Derby’s Twitter page, teammate Waghorn sent a well-wishing tweet to the Welshman:
King completed a deadline day move to Derby in January and played four league games in February prior to the season-ending injury on Monday night.
