The Rams have appointed Rosenior as Specialist First Team Coach at Pride Park.

A number of Derby County fans, plus Leicester City and England defender Harry Maguire, have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the news that Liam Rosenior has joined Phillip Cocu’s backroom staff at Pride Park (official Rams website).
The Championship club’s official website confirmed on Wednesday that the 35-year-old comes on board as Specialist First Team Coach and completed the formalities of his switch to the Rams at their training camp in Florida.
Rosenior was previously a defender with the likes of Brighton & Hove Albion, Bristol City, Fulham and Hull City, retiring as a player in 2018, and has since worked as assistant coach with Brighton’s Under-23s side while also doing punditry work with Sky Sports.
An “emphasis” of the 35-year-old’s job at Derby working alongside new Rams manager Cocu – who took the reins last week following Frank Lampard’s switch to Chelsea – will be “on individual development of emerging young talent”.
Maguire, who played alongside Rosenior when their respective spells at Hull coincided in 2014 and 2015, praised Derby’s appointment and his comments suggest that they have a quality asset in their setup:
