The Rams striker was taken off by Phillip Cocu 67 minutes into the Pride Park clash.

A number of Derby County fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the Rams running out 1-0 winners against Wigan and one player who found himself under criticism was Martyn Waghorn.
The 29-year-old made the starting XI for Phillip Cocu’s side in Wednesday night’s Championship clash at Pride Park but was largely ineffective during his time on the pitch and struggled to make an impact.
Eventually, Waghorn was replaced by Jack Marriott in the 67th minute of the game as Derby continued to labour against the Latics and appeared set for a point in a stalemate until Graeme Shinnie struck deep in injury time for the Rams.
Here is what some Derby fans have been saying on social media:
Just when it looked as if it would remain goalless at Pride Park, Shinnie was set up by a knockback from Chris Martin and, in the second minute of injury time, struck a ferocious angled half-volley.
Derby’s victory, only their fourth in 13 league games under Cocu, lifts them within four points of the Championship playoff places, while Paul Cook’s Latics are now just four points above the relegation zone.
