Fikayo Tomori has followed up his Derby County Supporters’ Player of the Year award by being named the Rams Player of the Season on Tuesday night.

The 21-year-old central defender, on loan from Premier League club Chelsea, collected the Jack Stamps Award at the Championship club’s end-of-season dinner.

Tomori has thoroughly impressed during his season-long stint from Stamford Bridge, starting 40 of the Rams’ 43 league games and also playing in all eight of their cup matches.

Derby kept fans up to date by posting the happenings at the awards night on their Twitter account:

Here is how Tomori responded online to picking up the accolade:

Fellow Rams player Jayden Bogle – himself a winner on the night, picking up the Young Player award – congratulated Tomori:

And plenty of the Pride Park faithful also took to Twitter to pour praise upon the Blues loanee and also urge him to make the permanent switch:

Derby currently sit sixth in the Championship table, level on points with seventh-placed Middlesbrough but boasting a better goal difference and also having a game in hand on the Teesside outfit.

Frank Lampard’s charges have three regular season games left, away at Bristol City, away at Swansea City and finally at home against West Bromwich Albion.
