The Rams back-up keeper has been linked with a switch from Pride Park to none other than the Premier League champions.

A number of Derby County fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the report linking Rams goalkeeper Scott Carson to Premier League champions Manchester City (The Mirror).
According to the report, Citizens boss Pep Guardiola wants an experienced back-up for his current first-choice, Ederson, and deputy Claudio Bravo, earmarking the four-times capped England international for the role.
The report goes on to claim that Carson is to join on a season-long loan rather than a permanent move, and that Derby won’t stand in the way of a dream move for the experienced stopper in the twilight of his career.
Carson made 30 Championship appearances for Derby last season, and 33 in all competitions (Transfermarkt) but eventually lost his first-team place to Kelle Roos, who saw out the campaign and featured in the playoff games.
Given that the likes of Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole and now Wayne Rooney have been associated with the Pride Park outfit in recent times, there is a sense amongst Derby supporters that anything can happen in football and that things have all gone a bit barmy.
