Andreas Weimann was instrumental to Derby’s comfortable win over QPR on Tuesday night.

Andreas Weimann proved pivotal in Derby County’s comfortable 2-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday night after being brought back in to the starting eleven – and fans are overjoyed with his contribution on Twitter.
The 26-year-old proved to be the architect for both of Derby’s goals, as he provided the assists for Matej Vydra and Tom Lawrence to score at Pride Park against Ian Holloway’s side.
It was Tom Huddlestone that started the moves for both goals, first playing an exquisite long ball into the forward run of Austria international Weimann, who squared perfectly for Vydra to slide home in first-half injury time.

Former England international Huddlestone then set Weimann free in the second half with another long ball, and Weimann held the play up to find Lawrence who lashed an effort into the corner to score his first goal for Derby County.
Former Aston Villa ace Weimann has been in and out of the Derby side this season, with his last start under Gary Rowett coming back in September during Derby’s 1-1 draw against Birmingham City.
However, Derby fans were delighted on Twitter with Weimann’s performance as he put QPR to the sword with his creative instincts. One fan even claimed that it was the best performance from the versatile attacker “since Istanhull” 18 months ago.
