The Rams played out a goalless draw with the Swans at Pride Park and Marriott only came on in the 80th minute.

A number of Derby County fans have taken to Twitter to bemoan Jack Marriott’s late substitution in the Rams’ goalless Championship draw with Swansea City at Pride Park.
Although the Rams remain unbeaten after two games this season, it proved a frustrating afternoon for the home contingent, particularly as they spurned the opportunity to take the lead from the spot.
Shortly before half time, Jayden Bogle went down under the challenge of Jake Bidwell in the Swans box for a penalty, but Martyn Waghorn’s spot kick was kept out by Freddie Woodman, who dived low to his left.
Marriott was eventually brought on in the 80th minute as Derby searched for a late winner, and he looked to make an immediate impact with a speculative effort from the edge of the box, but ultimately it proved too little too late for the hosts.
Here is what some Rams fans said on social media during and after the Pride Park stalemate:
Derby have two away games on the bounce next week as they travel to Scunthorpe United in the first round of the Carabao Cup before heading to Stoke City in Saturday’s Championship clash.
