Leeds United were said to be interested in Harry Wilson, but it appears the youngster will move to Derby County.

This summer looked set to be the one where Leeds really announced their ambition to earn promotion, but things have not gone to plan so far.
The appointment of Marcelo Bielsa sparked rumours that Leeds had £20 million to spend (Daily Mirror), and some high profile names were linked.

Indeed, one of the players that Leeds wanted was said to be Derby striker Matej Vydra.
Leeds, instead, have brought in just two new additions so far – with Lewis Baker and Jamal Blackman arriving on loan.

And if Leeds have gone from nearly signing Derby’s best player, to losing out to them in the race for Wilson, that would rather sum up how things have gone for Bielsa’s side in the transfer market to date.
Leeds do, of course, still have time to turn things around, but further questions should be asked if Derby beat them to Wilson’s signature.
