Frank Lampard appears to already be willing to take risks at Pride Park as Derby County boss.

Derby are keen to reshuffle their backline, but the move would have to be considered a major risk by new boss Frank Lampard.
Lampard may want to bring in Terry, due to the relationship they have shared, but by sacrificing Davies, he would immediately put his good friend under pressure.

Davies was one of Derby’s stand-out players last season, with his performances at the back highly impressive.
The 33-year-old hardly needs upgrading, if Derby are to challenge for promotion. In-fact, there is an argument to suggest he is a player Lampard could have built his team around.
Terry’s arrival at Pride Park would no doubt create excitement, but there still has to be some question marks over the deal.

Terry is now 38, and did have a couple of injury problems over the season at Aston Villa.
There is no doubting that the Chelsea man proved to be an excellent player at Championship level.
But trading out Davies for him means that the transfer is hardly guaranteed to be successful, and Lampard appears to be prepared to take a big gamble in one of his first moves as Derby boss.
