Mason Mount has suggested to Sky Sports that he doesn’t know whether he will be at Derby County next season.

The Chelsea youngster has enjoyed an excellent spell on loan at Derby, where he has gone on to catch the eye.

The Daily Mail suggests that Derby are now interested in making the move a permanent one, if they get promoted.

But Mount refused to be drawn over whether he will be leaving Chelsea in the summer.

He said: “I don’t know. I haven’t put any thought into next season or my future. My focus is 100% on Derby this season and I just want to get promotion.”

Mount now has a taste for first-team football and if he returns to Chelsea he is likely to want to play.

The youngster has excelled in Frank Lampard’s team and proven that he can cope playing senior football.

Mount has helped Derby reach the outskirts of the play offs, but Frank Lampard’s side will need to finish the season strongly if they are to break into the top six.
