According to Sky Sports, Premier League club Liverpool are on the verge of signing Gordon from Championship side Derby.
It has been reported that the defending English champions could complete the transfer today.
The transfer fee that Liverpool have to pay for the teenager could reach £3 million, according to the report, which has added that he will link up with the Merseyside club’s academy initially.
The 16-year-old attacking midfielder is a very talented and promising young player who has already made his first-team debut for Derby.
The teenager played for the Rams against Birmingham City in December 2020, but he is too young and inexperienced to play regularly for the first team.
Liverpool have a good academy, and the youngster will hope to develop and progress there before making a first-team debut potentially in the next two or three years.
