Derby County drew 0-0 with Stoke City on Wednesday night.

Derby County’s play-off pursuit continues to falter after they could only muster a 0-0 home draw with Stoke City on Wednesday night.
The Rams have been patchy of late, and Frank Lampard’s side couldn’t break down Stoke as Jack Butland produced a fine display in the Potters goal.
Derby toiled away searching for the winner but couldn’t find it, with Harry Wilson’s late free kick hitting the cross bar in the final chance of the game.
Derby move back above Bristol City into sixth place with that point, but Aston Villa and Preston North End have both gained ground on the Rams in the play-off race.
Lampard and Derby have won just three of the last 12 Championship games, and are currently showing signs that they’ll fade away from the promotion picture as they so often have in recent years.
One of the problems has been Wilson’s dip in form, with the Liverpool loanee now without a goal or an assist in almost two months.

The Welshman has become known for his long-range goals, but those have dried up now, and whilst he went close late on against Stoke, fans weren’t impressed with his display.
Supporters took to Twitter to slam the 21-year-old, calling him ‘hard to watch’ and ‘the weakest link’, believing that he needs to be dropped right now as he’s the worst player in the Derby side, adding that there’s no chance he’ll be in the Liverpool first team picture next season.
