Derby County are looking at signing free agent defender Sol Bamba, the Derby Telegraph report.
Bamba began the season as Leeds United club captain, but was surprisingly released at the beginning of September.

The centre-back lost his place in the team and was allowed to leave, and is now training with Derby County.
Speaking to the Derby Telegraph, Rams boss Nigel Pearson said: “He got in contact with me and asked if it was OK for him to come in training.
“I have worked with him before [at Leicester City] and it is a surprise he is a free agent, but that is where we are at the minute.”

While Bamba has not played a competitive game for over a month, Derby need all the help they can get at present.
The Rams have had a disastrous start to the season, especially when considering that the appointment of Nigel Pearson was supposed to elevate them to challenge for promotion.
Instead they have only one win all season long, and sit in the relegation zone, losing to Blackburn Rovers at the weekend.
