Derby County do not have to face Leeds United star Pontus Jansson on Friday, and fans are delighted.
Derby County have been given a big boost for this weekend’s trip to Leeds United after opponent Pontus Jansson picked up a suspension.
Jansson was picked by Leeds on Monday night for their FA Cup win against Cambridge United, but the gamble backfired as the Swede was given a second half booking.

This puts him out of Friday’s game, and Leeds’ problems were compiled by fellow defender Liam Cooper picking up an injury, which the Whites hope is only minor.
Jansson has been outstanding since signing on loan from Torino back in August, and has helped Leeds rise up to fifth in the league.
Derby manager Steve McClaren
Derby have hit form since manager Steve McClaren was re-appointed after Nigel Pearson’s disastrous start, and they are hoping to catch up with Leeds.
Currently they are up to seventh place, just five points behind Leeds, and a win at Elland Road would be a huge result.
Derby supporters can’t quite believe their luck that Jansson is out of Friday’s clash, here is a look at how they reacted via Twitter…
