Derby County striker Jack Marriott made his debut for Frank Lampard’s side last night.

Jack Marriott has impressed on his Derby County debut, despite failing to hit the back of the net.
Marriott was selected to start for Derby when they took on Oldham Athletic last night by Frank Lampard for the first time following his move from Peterborough United.
Derby picked up a 2-0 win in the contest, and Rams fans were largely impressed by their new signing, although he failed to hit the back of the net.
Marriott could become Derby’s first choice striker this season when he is fully fit, but he has plenty of competition.
Dave Nugent and Martyn Waghorn are also vying for places in Lampard’s starting line-up, which leaves competition fierce.
Fikayo Tomori and Mason Mount were Derby’s scorers last night, as they made it through to the second round of the Carabao Cup.
Derby are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Millwall in Championship action at the Den.
