The Liverpool loanee had a recall clause but six words uttered by Frank Lampard in reply to a reporter’s question have made some fans very happy indeed.

Derby County fans received some fantastic news on Friday as it was officially confirmed by Frank Lampard that Harry Wilson would stay with the Rams until the end of the season.
The Liverpool loanee has been a sensation at Pride Park so far this term, scoring 11 goals and registering three assists in 25 games in all competitions, while in the Championship, he has bagged nine so far (Transfermarkt).
However, with the January transfer window currently open, many loans have recall clauses which can be activated during the month, and Wilson had one of these in his deal with the Rams.
This led to fears among the Derby fanbase that Jurgen Klopp could have decided to reclaim Wilson’s services as the Reds continue to push for Premier League and Champions League glory.

In Lampard’s press conference ahead of Saturday’s Championship clash at home to Reading, however, the manager delivered the news that all Rams fans would have wanted to hear, when asked about whether the cutoff for a recall had passed.
His reply, as quoted by the Derby Telegraph, was short and sweet: “It has gone, yes. Good news.”
Cue some Derby fans taking to Twitter and expressing their delight at knowing that one of their star players this season is staying put:
