Rangers want to bring Craig Bryson to Ibrox.

Steven Gerrard is planning a swoop to bring Craig Bryson to Rangers, the Daily Record report.

If Gerrard can convince Bryson to swap Derby for Rangers, it will mark the end of an era.

Bryson has been at Derby since 2011, signing from Kilmarnock.

The central midfielder has played 246 games for the Rams, but his impact lately has been minimal.

Last season he only played four times, before going on loan to Cardiff and helping them win promotion.

Under Frank Lampard at Derby he has been more involved, making 19 appearances, all but one as a starter.

Bryson has built up enough goodwill among Rams fans that they will not begrudge him moving on, if a switch to Rangers is what he wants.

Many Derby fans are keen to look to the future and feel the time is right for the 32-year-old to move on.
