Clement looks set to return to the Championship with Reading, two years after leaving Derby County.

Derby County fans are reacting on Twitter as their former manager, Paul Clement, closes in on the Reading manager’s job.
The Daily Telegraph reports that Clement – who was most recently in charge of Swansea City – has cut short a holiday to take the Royals reins, after Jaap Stam’s departure on Wednesday.
The Reading-born boss spent eight months at Derby, whom he led to the Championship’s summit before being sacked within two months after the Rams slipped to fifth.

Many outside of Derby felt Clement’s dismissal was harsh, but those of a white and black persuasion tend to think otherwise.
Here’s what they’re saying about their former manager’s seemingly imminent return…
Should confirmation of Clement’s appointment arrive, as speculated, within the next 24 hours, the former Real Madrid and Bayern Munich assistant will have eight games in which to keep Reading in the Championship.
Last season’s play-off finalists won just one of their last 18 league games under previous boss Jaap Stam, and sit 20th in the standings, three points above the relegation places.
