The teenager was in brilliant form in the 1-0 triumph at Elland Road.

Leeds United moved to third in the Championship table this week, after beating Derby County at Elland Road.

It was an incredible performance from Leeds, who dominated proceedings throughout the game.

Several of the Leeds players caught the eye in the game, but one in particular had opposing manager Steve McClaren purring.

Ronaldo Vieira put in a fantastic display in the heart of the Leeds United midfield. The Rams boss was shown to say this about the player to TV Yorkshire after the game:

“Vieira – wow, 18 years old. He has got a bright future that boy – he ran the show tonight.

“It’s very difficult to get consistency at that age, but from what I saw tonight he is physical, he has tempo and he can control the ball. I was impressed with him.”

High praise indeed from the former England manager and there is no doubt the young Guinea-Bissau player is a top talent.

It also seemed that Vieira himself was pleased with his own performance. He sent out this tweet yesterday, highlighting how happy he is to be a part of this team:

The 18-year-old has burst onto the scene this season under the management of Garry Monk, after initially being handed his first-team debut by Steve Evans last season.

He has since gone on to become a regular and seen off competition from some very experienced players in doing so.

The future is bright for Vieira and Leeds United fans will be hoping that he goes on to be a future star at Elland Road.
