Leeds United are said to be closing in on signing Derby County striker Matej Vydra.

Leeds have been after Vydra all summer, but finally appear to be making progress in the deal.
And Lampard’s latest comments about the Derby front man offer Leeds even more hope that a deal is edging closer.
“There probably will be,” Lampard said when asked about departures at Derby.

“We will do things we think are right in terms of ending up with a squad that is not too big.
“The squad can’t be too big because players can’t be used enough, but at the same time we want it to be quality.
“We will look to see if there is potential movement.”
Derby appear to have already planned to replace Vydra, with Jack Marriott signing at Pride Park and Martyn Waghorn expected to follow suit.
Leeds, meanwhile, are finally pressing on with their transfer plans.
Leeds have had a frustrating summer so far, but appear to be on the verge of exciting deals for both Vydra and Barry Douglas.
