Derby County will take on Leeds United in the Championship on Friday night.

Shay Given has praised the ‘fantastic’ job, Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds United have done this season ahead of their clash against Derby County on Friday night.
Former Premier League player Given is the goalkeeping coach at Pride Park and will be on the touchline at Elland Road when the two promotion chasers meet in the Championship.
During the reverse fixture in August, in only Frank Lampard’s second game in charge, Leeds thumped the Rams 4-1 away from home as they will be hoping for a similar result this time around.
On that day, Leeds forward Kemar Roofe netted a double either side of Mateusz Klich and Ezgjan Alioski finding the back of the net.
Prior to the game, former Newcastle and Villa shot-stopper Given stated that Derby are going to Yorkshire to look for a result but understood the difficult nature of the task.
“We have got a huge game at Leeds, they are top of the league and it’s going to be a difficult game for us,” Given told the Alan Brazil Breakfast show on talkSPORT on 10/01/2019 at 8:15 am.

“Bielsa and the team this year have been fantastic. We want to go there and try to get a result.”
Leeds are four points clear of third-placed Sheffield United at the top of the Championship table and a further 12 points ahead of Nottingham Forest, who occupy the final playoff spot.
For Derby, they are sitting in sixth place, a defeat or dropped points won’t remove them from the final playoff spot, but it would allow the chasing pack to close in on them.
