West Bromwich Albion target Vedat Muriqi has claimed he will remain faithful to Fenerbahce but his future depends on the club, Fanatik report.
The 6ft 4inch striker has been linked with a transfer this summer.
According to a recent report by Fanatik, West Bromwich Albion are keen to sign him and will be willing to offload some players to raise funds to facilitate a deal.
The Baggies aren’t the only English club linked. Muriqi’s agent Haluk Canatar told Fanatik how Burnley made a bid for him while Tottenham Hotspur weigh up a £22 million offer.
The striker, meanwhile, has responded to the latest speculation.
“I’m at Turkey’s biggest club. I can’t talk about the market. I have a three-year contract and everything depends on the club. Fenerbahce gives the decision. First comes the request of the club. I’ll do the best to stay until the end of my contract,” Muriqi explained.
Muriqi has been in excellent form for Fenerbahce, netting 21 goals this term.
This comes after the 25-year-old netted 25 times for fellow Turkish Super League side Caykur Rizespor last term earning a move to Fenerbahce last summer.
Championship promotion hopefuls West Brom are seemingly planning ahead.
While promotion isn’t secured yet, Slaven Bilic’s side are on course for a top two finish and they remain heavy favourites when football returns from the Covid-19 suspension.
Bilic has experience working in Turkey with Besiktas between 2013-15.
Muriqi at the time was in Turkey’s second tier where he scored 21 goals in 57 games for Giresunspor, prompting a transfer to Genclerbirligi.
The Kosovo international may also have been on Bilic’s radar back then.
