Gerrard has impressed as Rangers manager since being appointed in the summer.

Dennis Wise has told the Daily Star that he is keen to see the likes of Steven Gerrard manage in the Premier League, claiming that Rangers is just a job to help the Liverpool legend “learn his trade”.
Gerrard, 38, has suffered only three losses in 23 league and cup outings during his spell in charge as Rangers boss, taking the Gers to the Europa League group stage where they sit top of Group G after three games.
A disappointing loss to Aberdeen in the Scottish League Cup will have been frustrating for Gerrard, but they remain competitive in the league and are in a much better position than Celtic to qualify for the Europa League knockout stage.
Former Chelsea man Wise wants to see Gerrard, as well as Aston Villa assistant manager John Terry and Derby County boss Frank Lampard manage in the Premier League – claiming their current roles are just helping them “learn their trades”.
“I’m looking forward to seeing what will pan out with these guys,” Wise said. “Terry is managerial material, as with Frank and Steven Gerrard. They are obviously learning their trades at the moment which is fantastic.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the three of them compete as managers in the Premier League, I really am and one day that will happen.
“They are three English coaches and it would be an absolute delight to see them all in the Premier League. Obviously they have to do their first part of it which is what they’re doing at the moment.”

Gerrard has been commended for bringing a professionalism back to Ibrox, which was missing under Pedro Caixinha and Graeme Murty. They are much more defensively sound, and better in terms of quality after signing 15 players.
He has a contract at Ibrox until the summer of 2022, but he seems determined in his role to help Rangers finally catch Celtic and mount a Scottish Premiership title race. They face Kilmarnock on Wednesday night at Ibrox.
