Dennis Wise has been discussing West Ham United after their 4-1 humbling against Swansea City at the weekend.
West Ham turned in their worst performance under David Moyes as they were beaten out of sight by the Swans at the Liberty Stadium last time out.
It was the Hammers’ second 4-1 defeat on the trot and drags the club back into the thick of the relegation battle.
Indeed Moyes’ side are just three points above the dropzone with nine games left and one of the most difficult run-ins in the division.
The next two matches could prove vital for West Ham’s survival chances with back-to-back home games against Burnley and Southampton.
“They’ve got enough to keep them up but they’ve fallen away at a bad time, and they were poor (against Swansea),” Wise told Sky Sports.
“It’s a bad result but with the quality they’ve got they should be alright.”
Key to West Ham’s season could be the fact that six of their remaining nine games are at home.
The London Stadium is far from a fortress but their form there has settled down overall in the last six months with crucial wins over the likes of Chelsea, West Bromwich Albion and Watford.
And they will need to continue that form after Moyes and Stuart Pearce both admitted the points total needed to survive could be more than 40 this season.
