Dennis Wise has told The Debate, which was broadcast on Sky Sports on 20th April, that he cannot see Wolverhampton Wanderers signing Jack Wilshere.

The Daily Mail have suggested that Wilshere is on Wolves’ shopping list, following their promotion.

However, Wise feels that Wilshere will have better options than Wolves to join in the summer transfer window.

“I can’t see him going to Wolves, I really can’t. I think he’ll get a better club than Wolves,” he said.

Jack Wilshere of Arsenal is closed down by Tiemoue Bakayoko of Chelsea during the Carabao Cup Semi-Final Second Leg at Emirates Stadium on January 24, 2018 in London, England.

“When he was 23, what do you think he you’d pay for him? £40 million. I’d play him in the Chelsea team now, sitting alongside Kante.”

Wilshere could be available for free in the summer, as it appears he is set to leave Arsenal.

Jack Wilshere speaks during an England press conference session at St Georges Park on March 20, 2018 in Burton-upon-Trent, England.

The England international has still not penned a new contract, with interest mounting in his signature.

Wolves would have to beat off competition from a range of clubs from England and abroad, if they are to sign up Wilshere.

If Wolves do manage to bring Wilshere to Molineux, he could be a valuable addition to Nuno’s midfield for next season, when they have ambitions to make a big impact upon their return to the Premier League.
