Aston Villa star Jack Grealish has been linked with moves away.
Jack Grealish is one of the best young players in the Championship, and there is little surprise that there is (reported) interest in the Aston Villa star from Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United among other clubs.
According to Sky Sports, Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in Grealish, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder, while The Chronicle has claimed that Newcastle are monitoring his situation.
With Villa failing to get promoted to the Premier League and FFP issues surrounding the Championship club, the Villans could be forced to sell the 22-year-old.
Villa legend Dennis Mortimer, who won the European Cup with the Villans back in 1982, has suggested that the club should sell Grealish.
Mortimer told The Birmingham Mail: ”If you think of it from the point of view of the money problem they’ve got, I don’t see how they can (keep Grealish). They’re going to need to get rid.
“But the other thing is that I don’t think they should keep Jack. I think they need to move him on because they need four or five creative players not just one.
“What they have got to be looking for now are players that if they lose one, they have still got three left. And if they lost two, they have still got two left.”
Exit inevitable?
Grealish is one of the best attacking players in the Championship, and it is hard to see him remain at Villa Park next season.
With clubs such as Tottenham, Newcastle and Arsenal reported to be interested in the 22-year-old, it does appear that the youngster will not be playing at Villa Park next season.
