The Spurs midfielder scored twice for Denmark this week.
Denmark’s head coach had high praise for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen after he helped his nation to a comfortable 4-1 win against Kazakhstan in their World Cup qualifier last night.
He scored twice for his country, once from the penalty spot and again with a fantastic finish. He ran from the halfway line taking on defenders at will before slotting home Denmark’s fourth.

It was a great performance from the Spurs star, who dictated the pace of play for much of the game. After the match the Danish head coach was full of praise for the Tottenham star.
Age Hareide is quoted by Aftenposten as stating:

“Christian worked hard to win the second balls. He did well and he scored to end. He got more space after the break.
“He is a player of top class and there are great expectations for him. We expect him to conjure every time, and he did today.”
It was a great performance from Eriksen and one he needed after some poor form for Tottenham in recent weeks.

Spurs fans have gotten used to a high level of performance on a consistent basis from the Dane since he headed to White Hart Lane from Ajax back in 2013.
In recent weeks he has struggled to find his best performances from Tottenham and the performance for Denmark will hopefully see him turn his fortunes around at club level.
