Premier League quartet Spurs, Watford, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly interested in Copenhagen forward Robert Skov.
Denmark manager Age Hareide has warned Robert Skov about the dangers of leaving Copenhagen this summer, speaking to TV2, as the rising star of Scandinavian football continues to be linked with a move to the Premier League.
Skov shot to fame by scoring 29 goals in a remarkable 2018/19 campaign for Copenhagen, who unsurprisingly sealed the Superligaen title.
As a result, it seems unlikely that the prolific right winger will be plying his trade in the Danish capital next season with Sky Sports claiming that Premier League clubs Tottenham Hotspur, Wolverhampton Wanderers, West Ham United and Watford are all interested.
But Hareide, who handed Skov his first ever international call-up in March, fears that one of the nation’s biggest talents will end up stuck on the bench if he leaves Copenhagen before he is ready.
“It is clear that at some point he will step in and make his debut for the national team if he continues his development,” the 65-year-old said.
“The only thing I’m afraid of is (Skov) possibly sitting outside and not getting the game. It could slow down his development.”
Skov, who became the first player since Ebbe Sand to score more than 28 goals in a Danish top flight season, would surely struggle to force his way into the starting XI at Tottenham, Wolves, West Ham or Watford given the quality options already available to the Premier League quartet.
