Moussa Dembele has been a resounding success during his time at Celtic.
Celtic striker Moussa Dembele has been a revelation for the Hoops since his arrival on a free transfer in the summer, but the Frenchman thinks he should have done even better, as quoted by the Glasgow Evening Times.
The 20-year-old has scored 19 goals in 36 outings for Brendan Rodgers’ side so far this term, but it has been his all-round game that has been so impressive.
Celtic’s Moussa Dembele celebrates
His powerful physique has enabled him to mix it with some of the biggest and baddest defenders in the Scottish Premiership, and he has helped fire his side to the top of the league table, 19 points ahead of bitter rivals Rangers.
And the young Frenchman told the Glasgow Evening Times how he still has room for improvement, and aims to score even more goals during the second half of the season:
“It is nice to score but I should have had more. I should have scored more against Rangers on Saturday. I hit the crossbar but over the season I think I could have had more than 19. I think I can do better. There is still more to come from me. I am still hungry. I want to beat my numbers when we come back in the second part of the season.”

The Hoops have to wait until January 22nd before they play again, and Dembele should take advantage of the time he has off to rejuvenate, and re-energise.
And if he returns a better player than he was during the first half of the campaign, Celtic really will have their work cut out in keeping hold of him over the summer.
