Celtic are becoming an attractive prospect under Brendan Rodgers.
Ryan Sessegnon of Fulham in action
Popular bookmakers Paddy Power have slashed the odds on Celtic signing Fulham youngster Ryan Sessegnon, listing the Glasgow giants as 11/2 third favourites to win the race for his signature.
The 16-year-old has been quite sensational for the Cottagers this season, and put in one of his most breathe-taking displays against Newcastle United on Saturday, showcasing physical and mental attributes that would be more befitting of a seasoned veteran.
The highly talented left-back has been heavily linked with a move to a whole host of Premier League clubs over the past few months, and Paddy Power make Liverpool favourites to sign the teenager at 13/5 followed by Everton at 4/1.
But the Hoops have been hugely cut into 11/2 to sign the highly sought-after youngster.
And if Brendan Rodgers is successful in bringing Sessegnon to Celtic Park, the 16-year-old would follow in the footsteps of former Fulham star Moussa Dembele, who made the move to Glasgow from London last summer, and has since gone on to be an absolute revelation for Celtic, scoring 32 goals in all competitions this term.
Ryan Sessegnon of Fulham
Whilst many would say that a move to the Premier League would be more favourable than a switch to Scotland, it must be noted that he would surely receive more first-team opportunities at Parkhead, than he would at Anfield or Goodison Park.
That is not to say that he would not have any competition at Celtic, however, with the likes of Kieran Tierney and Emilio Izaguirre already fighting for the left-back spot.
And maybe a chat with former Fulham man Dembele could be enough to convince him to follow the path he took last summer.
