Newcastle United have maintained their stunning season with a 4-0 drubbing of Aston Villa at St James’s Park this afternoon.
The Magpies were only one goal ahead at the break due to a Callum Wilson penalty on the stroke of half time.
But a ruthless second-half display by Newcastle saw Aston Villa well and truly beaten.
Here’s what Demba Ba posted on Twitter after the game:

What a season Eddie Howe is masterminding on the North East.
Newcastle remain fourth in the Premier League standings but they very nearly went third, though Spurs secured a last-gasp victory at Bournemouth to stay above Howe’s side in the table.
As for Aston Villa, well they’ve come back to earth with a bang following their 4-0 demolition of Brentford last weekend.
Aaron Danks took charge of the Villans yet again, with Unai Emery not coming on board until November 1.
But they were unable to replicate their heroics against the Bees, though it must be stated that they lost goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez to a first-half injury which threw the visitors into dissaray a little.
Villa are 15th in the Premier League table but only two points above the drop zone.
