Leicester City winger Demarai Gray was given a starting role in Claude Puel’s first match in charge.

Puel has taken over from Craig Shakespeare at Leicester, and his appointment has not been greeted with widespread approval.
Some pundits have suggested that the French boss did not do enough to Southampton to prove he merited the chance at the King Power Stadium.

However, Gray has been very impressed by Puel’s start to life at Leicester, with his coaching techniques earning approval with the rapid wide-man.
“From what we’ve done in training and when he spoke to me one-on-one, he stops you a lot in training which is good because I want to be coached, I want to learn and I want to know that I have a manager who wants to help me,” he said.
Puel has got off to a good start at Leicester, after winning his first match in charge against Everton comfortably.
Leicester won 2-0 against the Toffees, and they played with great attacking verge.

Gray actually starred in that contest, after being handed a starting role by Puel.
And it seems likely that Gray will now remain in Leicester’s starting line-up for their next match, which comes against Stoke City tomorrow.
