Demarai Gray has taken to Instagram to express his delight at joining Everton, and Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard and Leon Bailey of Bayer Leverkusen have responded to his post.
What’s the story?
Everton have signed former Leicester City winger Gray from German club Bayer.
As reported by Sky Sports, the Toffees have paid Bayer £1.7 million in transfer fees for the 25-year-old winger.
The former England Under-21 international winger has put pen to paper on a three-year contract with Everton.

Gray is over the moon to have made the move to Everton, as shown by his Instagram post.

Interestingly, two of Everton’s current reported transfer targets have responded to Gray’s Instagram post, as you can see below.
Attacking midfielder Lingard and winger Bailey both have been linked with the Toffees, and both have wished Gray the best of luck at Goodison Park.
The Sun reported this week that Everton are keeping tabs on the 28-year-old, who can also play as a winger.
The Athletic claimed this week that the Toffees have Bailey on their shortlist of players.
Could Lingard and Bailey both end up at Everton this summer?
Given that the Toffees have signed another winger Andros Townsend, it is unlikely that manager Rafael Benitez will want to sign both Lingard and Bailey.
Perhaps one of them will move to Goodison Park this summer.
