Former Leeds United midfielder Fabian Delph was in action for England at Elland Road on Thursday.

Delph, who started his professional club football career at Leeds and was on the books of the Whites from 2001 until 2009 before leaving for Aston Villa, was back at Elland Road on Thursday evening, as he featured for England in their friendly international against Costa Rica.
The 28-year-old midfielder, who moved to City from the Villans in the summer of 2015 and earns £80,000 per week as salary according to The Daily Star, has expressed his joy at playing for England at his old stomping ground.

Delph told The Yorkshire Post: “It is where it all started for me, so to come back and put on the England shirt in front of my home fans, it is a dream come true. I miss it like you would not believe. It was emotional and a moment I will never forget.”
