Spurs star Del Alli has enjoyed a meteoric rise within the game over the last two years, and has now firmly established himself as one of the Premier League’s best players.
It is quite remarkable to think that he was playing League One football with MK Dons just 24 months ago, considering how far he has come.
He completed his £5 million switch to White Hart Lane in February 2015, before returning to Milton Keynes on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
And the 21-year-old’s words on the day he moved to Tottenham now seem rather pertinent. Alli told Sky Sports:
“I’m so excited about taking the next step in my career with a fantastic club like Tottenham Hotspur. It’s going to be a great challenge for me and it’s one that I’m really relishing. Nothing would make me happier than to help the club reach the next level, which is where we belong.”

Alli has undoubtedly improved Spurs as a team, and his presence within the side has categorically taken them to the next level.
The England international has contributed with 17 goals and five assists in 34 Premier League outings for Tottenham so far this term, and has played a major role in his side’s relatively successful campaign.
He must now be considered as one of his club and country’s most important players, and his rise to the top must give great heart and belief to every young player beginning their careers that anything is possible if they work hard enough.
