Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli could not contain his excitement on Instagram after his side picked up the three points against Southampton last night.

Alli missed out on playing for Tottenham in the game, as Ryan Mason left him on the bench.

But Alli still appeared to be cheerful after the game, and he briefly proclaimed: “What a win from the boys today!”

Most of Alli’s Instagram video was simply him listening to music as he went home after Spurs’s game.

But he did also confirm that he would be in training tomorrow, after declining an offer to play Call of Duty with a supporter.

Mason turned to both Erik Lamela and Steven Bergwijn ahead of Alli yesterday, as Spurs chased a winner.

That decision may have come as a surprise to many, but Mason got his calls spot on.

Tottenham ended up turning the game around, with goals from Gareth Bale and Heung-Min Son getting the temporary Spurs boss off to a winning start.
