Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has admitted to Sky Sports that he does not know what will happen regarding his future.

Alli is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and is one of the most important figures in the current Spurs team.

The England international has been superb for Tottenham this campaign, and has scored 17 goals and provided five assists in the Premier League.

“It’s important you enjoy the journey, whether I end up at Tottenham for the next 15 years and retire here,” Alli told Sky Sports when asked about his long-term plans regarding his future.

“I think it’s important for me not to get too carried away by what will happen in the future. The way football is, anything can happen at any time. I will enjoy my time here now… who knows what will happen in the future?”

Concerning for fans?

Alli is only 21 years of age, and the midfielder still needs to develop and improve his game. It is hard to see the youngster leaving Spurs in the summer transfer window, but his comments suggest that he could be open to the idea of moving to another club in the coming years.

The young midfielder joined Tottenham from Milton Keynes Dons, so it would not be wise to expect him to remain at Spurs for the rest of his career.

After all, it’s not as if Alli developed at Spurs’ academy and has childhood ties with the North London outfit.

What is important is that Alli continues to play well and does his best for Tottenham as long as he is at the club.
