Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli was given a rare start against Stoke City on Wednesday night, though it was a mixed night.
Alli showed some bright moments and helped Spurs to a 3-1 win, but was also substituted with Jose Mourinho unhappy at him giving the ball away too easily.
The 24-year-old remains on the fringes of the Spurs side, and even with a nine-man bench against Leicester City on Sunday, Alli wasn’t in the matchday squad.
January is right around the corner, and the Daily Mail claim that Paris Saint-Germain now believe Tottenham will let him go.
PSG failed with a number of offers over the summer, but now think they can sign Alli in the January window, most likely on loan – but don’t rule out a permanent move as he looks to resurrect his career.
Now, the links with PSG look set to take a fascinating turn, as Alli’s former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is set to become the new PSG boss according to Fabrizio Romano.
PSG have fired Thomas Tuchel, and Pochettino is seemingly set for a return to the game, joining a club he turned out for in this playing days.

The best spell of Alli’s career came under Pochettino, smashing 55 goals and 52 assists in 194 games for the Argentinian, and it’s clear that Pochettino still loves him.
Speaking on Sky Sports just last month, Pochettino branded him an ‘amazing’ player and talent, even though his performances also dipped towards the end of his time in charge of Tottenham.
Still, Pochettino loves Alli, and if his move to PSG is confirmed imminently, the chances of Alli joining him in the French capital will surely shoot up.
