Tottenham Hotspur will turn their attention to Champions League matters on Tuesday night after recording a score draw against Watford on Saturday.

Dele Alli has claimed that outsiders will be thinking Tottenham’s recent bad run of form is ‘strange’ because they would normally be used to the club winning games.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side dropped points at home to bottom-club Watford on Saturday afternoon, with their bad run of results and performances continuing despite playing a team without a win in the Premier League this term.

Midfielder Alli, who hasn’t been at his best for a while now, arguably produced his best performance of in a long while, as his goal ensured Spurs walked away with a point.

After the game, Alli seemingly stated that Tottenham’s current bad patch is just a blip, as he made it clear that everyone from coaching staff to players are working hard to put things right.

“The coaching staff are working hard every day and we are just making sure we show our character to get out of this patch we are in,” Alli told Spurs’ official YouTube account.

“Everyone has had it before, this is just our first time, so maybe it might be a little strange to people because they are used to us winning games all the time. I think this is where we have to show our character, mentality and pull together as a team and as a club.”

One of the positives to come out of that Watford draw was the fact that Alli got back on the scoresheet because Spurs have missed his goals.

He has seemingly lost that edge to his game, and if he can bring it back on a more consistent basis then he’ll be very dangerous to opposition players.

Now, both Alli and Spurs will turn their attention to Champions League football where they will take on Red Star Belgrade, as a win is needed by the North London outfit.
