Tottenham Hotspur ace Dele Alli has discussed the recent defeat to Wolves.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has told the Daily Mail that he felt he and his teammates got a little complacent against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Spurs have been in blistering form of late, winning seven of their last eight Premier League games whilst scoring 21 goals in the process.
The one blot on the copy book in that run was the 3-1 home defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers on the 29th of December, with many shocked by the performance.
That game started so well for Spurs, as Harry Kane smashed home a stunner at Wembley to put Tottenham into a 1-0 lead at the break.
However, Spurs completely collapsed in the second half as Willy Boly, Raul Jimenez and Helder Costa all scored for Wolves, sealing a 3-1 win for the visitors.
Tottenham completely took their foot off the gas in the second half of that game, and whilst they have thrashed Cardiff City and Tranmere Rovers since, that Wolves defeat still leaves a sour taste.

Now, Spurs star Alli has discussed the game, admitting that Tottenham can’t afford to relax in any game if they have real hopes of winning trophies.
Alli noted that Spurs probably got a bit carried away with themselves having been on such a good run, essentially suggesting complacency – and that was a huge mistake.
“When you’re going into different competitions, you can’t take your foot off the gas but you’ve got to be consistent and keep up your top level,” said Alli. “We had been in great form before Wolves and maybe we got a little bit carried away with ourselves. Maybe we just thought we would win the game. But you can’t do that if you want to win things,” he added.
