Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Dele Alli from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2018.
Zidane was impressed with Alli’s performance in the Champions League against Madrid, and has told club president Florentino Perez that the England international should be a target for next season, according to the report.
Modric is 32 years of age, and the Croatia international midfielder’s recent performances for Los Blancos have not been great.
Alli is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, and given that he is only 21 years of age, he would be a great long-term signing for Madrid.
While Spurs fans will be worried with Don Balon’s report regarding Alli, there is a positive.
If Zidane is already planning for next season, then it means that he will not be sacked by Madrid, which in turn suggests that the Spanish and European giants will not come calling for Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.
A report in The Daily Mail earlier this month claimed that Pochettino has emerged as Madrid’s top target to replace Zidane as the Madrid head coach.
