Dele Alli says he is ‘so happy’ for Tottenham Hotspur forward, Son Heung-min, after he reached the knockout stages of the Qatar World Cup with South Korea, as he posted on his Instagram story.

Tottenham fans must be having flashbacks of the duo causing all sorts of problems under the stewardship of Mauricio Pochettino.

For years and years, Spurs dazzled those on the Premier League stage, including in the Champions League, with Son and Dele Alli being at the heart of most of those performances.

Pochettino brought the duo to north London and he could probably argue they are his best-every purchases.

But whilst one of his former players struggles out in Turkey with Besiktas, his former partner is out in Qatar preparing for the last-16 stages of the World Cup with South Korea who face Brazil.

Dele Alli was delighted to see the Tottenham man shining on football’s biggest stage.

SON AND DELE ALLI HEAD IN OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS

Only last season, Son was winning the Golden Boot in the Premier League, whilst Dele Alli was struggling in Everton colours – after leaving Hotspur Way in January.

Frank Lampard decided to let the attacking midfielder go after only six months at Goodison Park, which probably tells you everything you need to know about where the player is at.

Not many have declined at the rate Dele Alli is declining, he was part of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, but now he is watching his former teammate shine bright.
