Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli has praised chairman Daniel Levy.

Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli has told the London Evening Standard that he appreciates the trust and backing from boss Mauricio Pochettino as well as chairman Daniel Levy.
Spurs didn’t sign any players this summer, becoming the first Premier League to miss out on any additions since the summer transfer window came into effect.
That has resulted in huge criticism for chairman Levy, with many Spurs fans feeling that he isn’t giving boss Pochettino enough backing to land his targets in the transfer market.
Levy famously keeps a tight grip on finances at Spurs, and whilst their top four rivals were splashing the cash, Tottenham were left without any new faces for the start of the season.
That has forced Pochettino to bring the likes of Toby Alderweireld, Danny Rose and Mousa Dembele back into the side having seemingly been willing to let them go, and Dele Alli has offered a more positive view on Levy and Tottenham’s summer.
Alli pointed to Harry Kane’s new contract – signed in May – as proof that Levy has trust in the current players at the club and is willing to repay them for their exploits, praising the Spurs chairman for his backing.

Alli, speaking to the London Evening Standard, added that everybody is excited about the Spurs squad right now, and his comments are a major boost to Spurs fans given that The Sun recently reported that the £60,000-a-week star is set for a new deal worth £100,000-a-week, with his praise of Pochettino and Levy lending itself towards staying.
“We are playing a sport we love every day and want to try and achieve as much as we can together,” said Alli. “We enjoy playing together and if it comes to a point where you aren’t improving then maybe you have to think about think about something else but for now, we are in a great place, with a great manager who doesn’t want to stand still.”
“We are all excited about the team we have. You can see the direction the club is heading and we want to be a part of it. The manager and chairman have shown trust in the players by backing us and Harry’s deal shows he wants to repay that. As players, it does give you a bit of confidence that we look like we are strong enough to compete again,” he added.
