Tottenham Hotspur fans have encouraged Dele Alli after he posted ‘good times’ in response to the club’s tweet about him.
Alli scored his 50th Premier League goal from the spot against Burnley last season.
With Tottenham playing against Burnley tonight, the club seemed to be keen to remind Spurs supporters of Alli’s landmark goal.
And the attacking midfielder, who has been overlooked by Jose Mourinho this term, issued a response.
Tottenham fans flocked to the tweet and insisted that Alli just needs to keep plugging away, as they feel he can break back into contention this season.
It has been a while since Alli has been able to celebrate ‘good times’ at Tottenham more recently.
The England international has been badly out of form of late, and Mourinho seemingly has doubts about using him currently.
Alli has barely featured for Spurs as a starter this campaign, with most his game time coming as a substitute.
Alli is likely to be left out of the squad again this evening, when Tottenham travel to Turf Moor.
