Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has insisted that he wants to play on Sunday, on his Instagram channel.

Alli was widely expected to play some part following Jose Mourinho’s departure, but he was once again left out as Tottenham picked up a 2-1 win over Southampton last night.

Tottenham now take on Manchester City in the League Cup final at the weekend.

Alli has missed a huge chunk of this season, after simply watching on the sidelines.

But when asked if he wanted to feature in the League Cup final, Alli could not have been clearer.

“Do I want to play Sunday? I want to play every game,” Alli said.

Alli did at least seem in good spirits after the game and with Mason in charge his chances of playing are surely increased.

Alli is surely unlikely to start for Tottenham after failing to feature last night.

But if Spurs are needing to pick open a hole in City’s defence then their are few better options than the England international in Mason’s squad.
