Dele Alli hails Tottenham Hotspur team-mate and says his footwork is incredible.

Dele Alli has told Sky Sports, via The Standard, that Mousa Dembele is Tottenham Hotspur’s best footballer.

The 29-year-old midfielder has been a revelation for Tottenham over the past few years and is arguably one of the most underrated players in the Premier League.

Dembele, who joined Spurs from Fulham in 2012, has an abundance of strength, but he can also play and the big Belgian has established himself as a real fan’s favourite on the white half of North London.

His strength and powerful running led to Tottenham’s equalising penalty in the 1-1 draw at Arsenal before the international break, and Alli has told Sky Sports, via The Standard, that he is probably the club’s best player.

He said: “In my opinion Dembele – I think he’s very good. His feet are unbelievable. He’s so big and he shifts his body so easily.”

As far as importance goes, striker Harry Kane may just gazump every one of his Tottenham team-mates.

The 23-year-old hitman missed some six weeks of the season with an ankle problem and Mauricio Pochettino’s side, despite coping well initially, desperately needed him back.

He returned in the draw at the Emirates prior to the international break, but the Lilywhites are now eight matches without a victory in all competitions, ahead of hosting West Ham at White Hart Lane.

But Dembele is certainly a huge player for Pochettino in both senses of the word.
