The Tottenham Hotspur is waiting to open his account in the Premier League.

Dele Alli has told Tottenham’s official website that it is a pleasure to play with Vincet Janssen.

The Dutch striker joined Spurs from AZ Alkmaar for £17 million in the summer, according to BBC Sport.

The 22-year-old is set for much more responsibility in the coming weeks, with Harry Kane’s two-month layoff through expected to mean more game time for him.

But the Netherlands hitman is yet to find the net for Tottenham in a Premier League outing, and has only scored once since joining – a penalty in the 5-0 League Cup win over Gillingham last week.

Goals, or a lack of, are something of a concern so far, but Alli has highlighted his talent in an interview with Spurs’ website following the 2-1 win at Middlesbrough.

“There is no hiding how good Harry is, he’s a great striker and a great goalscorer. Vincent did really well, held the ball up, he’s so strong and a pleasure to play with, good to play off and a threat as well, credit to him.”

Fortunately for Janssen, there is slightly less pressure on him due to Son Heung-min’s form. The South Korean netted both goals in Spurs’ win at The Riverside on Saturday, and there is perhaps more expectation on him to fill the goalscoring void left by Kane than there is for Janssen.

Still, it took Son the best part of a whole year to begin thriving for the Lilywhites. His form is a reminder as to why it is not wise to judge Janssen on the back of a handful of games.
