The 20-year-old Tottenham Hotpsur man wasn’t pleased with his showing on Saturday.

Dele Alli has told Tottenham Hotspur’s official website that he was unhappy with his latest performance.

Tottenham drew 1-1 with Premier League champions Leicester City at White Hart Lane on Saturday in what was certainly a case of two dropped points rather than one earned.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side, whose first-half penalty from Vincent Janssen was cancelled out by Ahmed Musa early in the second half, slipped three points behind co-leaders Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool as a result of their stalemate with the Foxes.

Spurs finished the clash with 63% of the possession, 16 shots compared Leicester’s seven and eight corners compared to City’s one.

Two of those efforts rattled the crossbar – first through Alli, who really should have scored on 40 minutes, while Jan Vertonghen also hit the woodwork in the dying stages.

And the young England midfielder has admitted that he has had better days on a football pitch.

“No. I feel like I should have scored a few goals and had more of an effect on the game. I think I lost the ball too many times,” he told Spurs’ official website when asked if he was satisifed with his individual performance.

Tottenham visit Arsenal next Sunday in what is a massive game. Defeat would leave Pochettino’s troops six points behind the Gunners in the title race.

The Lilywhites have not won any of their last five games in all competitions in a run of form which makes you worry for them at the Emirates, given Arsenal’s form as of late.
