Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has told The Mirror he feels he is returning at just the right time for his club.

Alli played 63 minutes in England’s win over Czech Republic on Friday evening.

He is in line to potentially feature against Montenegro this week.

Alli says he has no concerns over his fitness and just wants to play.

He said: “We’ve got some big games coming up at club level and in the summer for England, and these two games now.

“It’s good because I wouldn’t say I’ve rested. I’ve worked very hard but I’m raring to go and can’t wait to play.”

Alli suffered a hamstring injury in January and has been out since.

He spent time in Dubai undergoing a personal training programme in an attempt to speed up his return to full fitness.

Tottenham will be anxiously hoping he comes through this week’s England game unscathed.

Spurs face Liverpool next weekend before two home games at their new stadium which Alli will be desperate to feature in.

The first is against Crystal Palace, before the match against Manchester City in the Champions League.
