Tottenham Hotspur are already planning for next season.

Ange Postecoglou’s side finished fifth in the Premier League this season and returned to Europe by securing Europa League football.

It was a huge change from the previous campaign. From the mood around Spurs and the style of play, it was all positive change, despite the very poor ending.

At this time of the season, the transfer rumour mill starts to hot up and fans are excited to see who is signing and who could be leaving.

Emerson Royal is one player suggested for a transfer away from Tottenham, with claims that he could move to Saudi Arabia or even AC Milan.

But that’s a possible exit is still in the air, with the club already confirming their retained and released list on Wednesday.

To the surprise of nobody, the likes of Eric Dier were named, after he joined Bayern Munich on loan in January and reached the Champions League semi-final.

But another name that has left Tottenham is Ryan Sessegnon after his injury-ravaged time at the club.

When Sessegnon was 19, he had racked up a staggering 109 league appearances, but fast forward to the present and the 24-year-old has played only 64 more matches.

The left-back reacted on Instagram to his exit and many of his teammates responded in the comments section and wished him luck.

Dele Alli, who is now at Everton, simply sent a heart emoji to the player, with Royal adding by saying ‘All the best, Sess’ and Brennan Johnson telling him ‘Good luck, brother’.

Ryan Sessegnon’s talent

If he didn’t suffer so many injuries, then Sessegnon would have had England caps to his name by now and probably would have been on that plane to Euro 2024.

When he was at Fulham, he helped his boyhood club earn promotion as a teenager and was one of the best players in the Championship.

But it just didn’t work in the Premier League and for Spurs.

Now it’s a case of finding that sharpness, rhythm and game time again, then his talent will speak for itself because he is scarily good.
